Obviously, nobody wants to be unhealthy. On the contrary? Conventional wisdom shows that everyone one would want to be in perfect health. But it is not as simple as that because you need to be motivated to make the desired changes that will help you to maintain a healthy lifestyle. The problem is that, despite the plethora and confusing materials on motivation, the truth is that we cannot motivate another person. Motivation has to come from within the individual to be meaningful. That is the reason many goals, especially health and goals fail because of lack of commitment.
However, though we cannot motivate another person, we can inspire them. According to an article on Harvard Business Review, the importance of inspiration is often underestimated (Harvard Business Review, 2019). Research shows that inspiration has the power to cause important life changes as it can encourage us to look beyond our limitations and capabilities, and try things we would not have tried.
The Three Major Requirements for Living a Healthy Lifestyle

Eat Well
There is no single food that contains all the nutrients that the human body needs to maintain good health.
Keep Fit
Keeping fit is one phrase that we hear all the time because of the awareness in recent times of the need to maintain living a healthy life style.
Mental Balance
“Mental balance is defined as the healthy psychological state of someone with good judgement.”
Wellness and Well-being

What is wellness?
Wellness is being actively aware of and making decisions towards living a healthy and fulfilling life. According to The World Health Organisation, wellness is “…. a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being, and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.” The National Wellness Institute defines it as “a conscious, self-directed and evolving process of achieving full potential.” Wellness, like well-being, is a dynamic process of change and growth, and food has a major contribution to make to this process. This confirms the popular sayings “you are what you eat.”
Wellness is a broad topic and a vital part of personal growth because it is not only focused on preventing disease but also improving the quality of life.
